Mr. McHardy Forman was a passenger from Wellington by this morning’s Limited. Professor J. Adamson, professor of law at the Victoria University College, is visiting Auckland. Mr. John Brown, staff superintendent Mew Zealand Railways, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mr. Julian Foster, American Trade Commissioner, will leave ror America in February next. He expects to be away about six months. Dr. and Mrs. Cameron joined the Limited at Frunkton Junction last evening, en route for Wellington. Mr. J. K. Lowe, district engineer at Auckland for the railways, returned from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Sir Charles Skerrett. Chief Justice, has so far recovered from his recent operations that he confidently anticipates being able to resume his duties on the Supreme Court Bench on February 1. Mr. Robert McPherson, manager of Murray. Roberts and Company, Ltd., Invercargill, has been appointed manager of the New Zealand Wheatgrowers’ Association, and will take up his duties at an early date. Admiral Sir Dudley de Chair, Governor of New South Wales, is returning from England by the tlemuera. due in Wellington on Saturday. Ho will spend a month in New Zealand with Lady de Chair and their daughter and two sons before returning to Sydney. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, spent Christmas in Auckland and left for Wellington last evening. The Hon. T. M. Wilford, Minister of Justice, who is in Auckland, will carry out no public business until to-morrow. The PostmasterGeneral, the Hon. J. B.
