LORD LAMBOURNE DEAD
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) Reed. 10.35 a.m. LONDON, Wed. The death has occurred of Lord Lambourne, aged SI.
Amelius Richard Mark Lockwood, first Baron Lambourne, was the eldest son of General Mark Wood. Educated at Eton, he entered the Coldstream Guards in 1566 and retired in 18S3. He represented the Epping Division of Essex in the House of Commons from 1892 to 1917. ITe was made a Privy Councillor in 1905. He was Lord Lieutenant of Essex, vice-presi-dent of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, president of the Royal Horticultural Society, and president of the Bribery and Secret Commissions Prevention League. He married in 1876 the second daughter of Sir John R. Millbanke. She died in 1923, and there is no heir.
