Just what is the difference between a house and home? All the difference in the world. When people go to buy a house or rent an apartment where the walls are cold and bare, they cannot visualise what a vast difference attractive, colourful wallpapers will make. They just think of the rooms forlorn and ugly and decide not to buy or rent.

Fringed cloths are often quite ruined in appearance at the laqndry, says a correspondent. If they are washed at home, be careful not to starch the fringe. Fold each cloth in four like a handkerchief, and then gather the fringe of each cloth into the hand and hold it firmly while you dip the middle only into the starch. When the cloth is dry shake out the fringe well and comb it with a comb, especially kept for the purpose, and it will fall as softly and prettily as when new.

Energetic women are far the handsomest to be met. They keep themselves in good condition by exercise, and they are so much used to walking smartly that they hold themselves well. They are not fat, but firm and well set-up.
