Lively Batting in Senior Cricket
PONSONBY RETAINS COMPETITION LEAD CHIEFLY as a result of a brilliant all-round performance by the ex-English amateur, 8. G. Smith, Ponsonbv retained its lead in the A.C.A. senior cricket championship on Saturday. Both Smith and Allcott (Grafton) scored centuries at Eden Park, and over at Devonport Dunning, the ex-Oxford player, claimed a great bowling success, which enabled University to retain second place on the competition ladder. .
