FACE TRODDEN ON

PRANKS WITH PUSH-BALL INCIDENT IN INTERVAL In the interval between official push-ball matches at the Takapuna Floral Fete on Saturday afternoon, a youth had the misfortune to have his face trodden on by the boot of another person. It was at a time when numbers of people were amusing themselves by trying their hands at the control of the big leather sphere. Apparently the youth was bowled over in the melee and an oncoming opponent trod upon him. The youth’s face was deeply gashed and lie was carried to a tent. Members of the Milford Surf Club rendered first aid and the captain of the club. Mr. Frank Bailey, took the youth home in his car.
