ROTORUA BOROUGH COUNCIL

The ordinary meeting of the Rotorua Borough Council was held in the Victoria Institute on Wednesday evening. The Mayor, Mr. J. X. McLean, presided. Mr. R* Champtaloup, of the Auckland Automobile Association, advised that the association’s patrol officer would arrive in Rotorua on December 21 and remain until January 7. He also outlined his duties in the camp at night and on outlying roads. Messrs. Mitchell and Gainsford asked the council to agree to the proposed subdivision of the Corlett Estate as enclosed. The request was granted. A letter was reeeived from the Municipal Association of New Zealand advising that the next annual conference of delegates would be held at Wanganui during the first week in March, 1929, and asking for remits.
