PARLIAMENT’S SYMPATHY On the motion of the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates and Sir Joseph Ward, supported by Mr, 11. E. Holland, the House this afternoon*expressed loyal and sincere sympathy with the King in his illness. CABLE MERGER LONDON, Friday. Other amendments in the cablemerger debate in House of Representatives were rejected and the first three clauses were passed (see Page D). The House then adjourned. CHILD KILLED The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Pomeroy was run over and killed by a petrol wagon in King Street, Pukekohe, about two o’clock this afternoon. The child dashed suddenly across the street and was struck down, the wagon passing over the body. Death was instantaneous OYSTER poaching Pleading guilt y on a similar charge, to that cf W.
