HOUSE LIGHTS
rpHE old custom of keeping house "*■ lights on during the progress of concerts seems to be fast going by the board. In London recently Paderewski even had some of the stage lights off and played in semi-darkness. Miss Daisy Kennedy, the Australian violinist, who is very popular in London, also refuses to play with the “house” full on. How long will we in New Zealand continue the old custom, which has little to commend it, and is a continual distraction both
