PUKEKOHE CHURCH BAZAAR
TAKINGS REACH 4350 In aid of the new church building fund, missions assessment and general fund of the Pukekohe Anglican parish, a queen carnival and bazaar was concluded in the Masonic Hall on Friday evening. Over 400 were present, and the takings were about £350. Little Marjorie Treanor, representing Pukekohe Hill, was crowned the successful queen. The stage was set as a fairy cave. The queen elect’s associates were: Audrey Morrison, central queen, and Jean Waterhouse, representing the northern queen, Esme Munro. who was not able to attend. The carnival was conducted by Mrs Lawsen and the Girls’ Guild of the church. Members of the Women's Guild arranged the bazaar.
