Murray Charges to Have Sequel
EVIDENCE REQUIRED ORIGINATOR’S NEW DEMAND There is to be a sequel to the ! "Murray charges,’ despite the fact j that many were under the impres- J sion they had been disposed of finally by the City Council. At tli© meeting of the council on Thursday evening Cc. W. H. Murray will move that the full report of the committee of investigation proceedings bo placed in his hands. His notice of motion is as follows: “Whereas the town clerk on November 12, 1928, personally refused to supply me with a copy of the evidence taken recently by the investigating committee into what is known as the ‘Murray Charges,’ and whereas Cr. Dempsey on November 15, 1928 (to whom I was referred by the town clerk for permission to be informed as to what evidence was in fact taken in my absence), has advised me to apply to council for a copy of that evidence. I now formally move that I be provided forthwith with an aci curate copy of the verbatim report of all evidence taken by the investigating committee, or given before or to that committee since January 1, 1925, lin answer to what is known as the j ‘Murray Investigation Charges.’ ”
