RAMARAMA OUTRAGE
SUSPECT REMANDED TO PUKEKOHE TO APPEAR TO-MORROW Making his second appearance at the Auckland Police Court to answer a charge of committing rape at Ramarama on November 12, Frederick Thomas Kelly May was this morning remanded to appear at Pukekohe to-morrow. On November 21, May, a labourer aged 24, appeared at Whangarei on a charge of committing rape on a girl of 14. He was also charged with the theft of a bicycle, a diamond ring and a cheque. On the night of November 12a woman of 7i f living alone at. Ramarama, was assaulted by a maskel intruder. She Was wakened by a knock and when she went to the door the woman was overpowered by a man, whose lace was covered with a handkerchief. Alter assaulting the woman, the intruder forced her to write a cheque, which she did. Her assailant then made oft quickly.
