BIRKENHEAD’S NEW JOB (United Service) Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Monday. Lord Birkenhead, retiring Secretary of State for India, has joined the boards of Tate and Lyle, sugar refiners, and the Johannesburg Consolidated Investment Company, of which Mr. S. B. Joel is chairman.
