Make Flowers as Trimming
The hobby of making bridge scorers and pencils bright with sealing wax flowers has long been enjoyed by girls, but now wax flowers have come under the notice of fashion, and serve as trimmings for hats, handbags, and frocks. The girl with an artistic selection for colour and design will be able to make these simple decorative motifs without any trouble. Tiny circular frames and plenty of sealing wax are all that is required. The new vogue first made its appearance with sealing wax fobs.
i Hats have copied the idea, and feature motifs of sealing wax flowers on crowns and brims. One novel model ' which passed through the brim and crown, linked together with a ribbon finishes on the shoulder in a spray of flowers. On Handbags i Handbags have carved wooden clips I with rows of wax flowers attached. \ The fashion is also a pretty one for bouffant frocks. A pale lime silk frock seen recently had a plaited silk sash ending in a large circle of wax flowers to tone.
