AT DIXIELAND
A MERRY EVENING A cool sea breeze fanned the crowd of joyous dancers at Dixieland on Saturday night, and the delightful lighting effects shed radiance over the moving figures in their gay and colourful frocks. Harry Neilson’s players were in generous mood, and their new numbers proved very popular and were encored again and again. A feature of the evening was an exhibition dance by Miss Yvonne Arlen and Mr. Colin Shorter. Among those present were: Mrs. Ernest Alison, wearing a scarab blue georgette frock, with tiered Mirt and corsage of gold lace. Miss Joy Bartley. Miss Gillespie, black bengaline frock with uneven hem of silver lace. Mrs. C. Whitney, fine black lace frock worn over ivory satin. Mrs. Whyte, crystal headed lilac georgette frock. Miss Soljak. gold lame frock veiled with black lace. Miss Campbell, fringed frock of bronze chenille.
