PERSONAL.—Mr. J. Watling has rejoined the Maori as third officer, relieving Mr. D. W. Blacklaws, who will await, orders at Lyttelton. Mr. A. B. Anderson, chief officer of the Katoa. has transferred to the Wingatui In a similar capacity, relieving Mr. B. A. Cox for holidays. Mr. J. J. Barnard, second officer of the Katoa. has also transferred to the Wingatui in a similar capacity, relieving Mr. E. G. Meatyard for holidays. Mr. R. Watson has been appointed third officer of the Kurow, relieving Mr. T. Stevenson, who proceeds to Sydney on holidays to-day. Mr. H. J. M. Kemp has joined the Tamahine as third officer. Mr. I. McKenzie is rejoining the Hauraki after holiday leave as third engineer. Mr. J. Peterson is now third engineer of the Makura. in place of Mr. J. S. Wilson. who has resigned. Mr. A. Armour has joined the Makura as fourth engi-. Captain C. Wallace is in command of the Canadian National steamer, Canadian Traveller, which arrived at Auckland on Saturday morning last from Montreal, and assocaited with him are the following officers: Chief, Mr. J. A. Melanson : second, Mr. G. Wood ; third, Mr* N. Clarke ; chief engineer, Mr. E. Rankin ; second, Mr. A. Croell; third, Mr. D. McSparran ; fourth, Mr. W. Lavls; wireless operator, Mr. W. Gizzie ; chief steward, Mr. A. Welsh. The vessel sails to-morrow for Wellington and Geelong.

BOSWORTH FROM TEXAS.—With case oil and other petroleum products from Port Arthur, Texas, the steamer Bosworth, 6,661 tons, is expected to reach Auckland about the beginning of next week. The other discharging ports are Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne. Bunbury and Fremantle. Messrs. R. Millar and Company are the local agents.

TRONGATE DUE. Although not sighted from Tiri at an early hour this afternoon, the steamer Trongate is due at Auckland to-day with a cargo of sulphur from Texas. She berths at King’s Wharf to discharge to the agency of Messrs. Robert Millar and Company. EASTMOOR LEAVES PANAMA. Cabled news has been received by the Canadian National Steamships that the Eastmoor arrived at Panama on November 2 from Montreal, and sailed again on November 3 for New Zealand ports. The vessel is due at Auckland on November 30. ULIMAROA LEAVES SYDNEY. Cabled news has been received by the Huddart-Parker Company that the Ulimaroa left Sydney at 12.15 p.m. on Friday for Wellington. She is due there to-morrow and leaves on Friday on her return trip to Sydney. NIAGARA AT VANCOUVER. —The Union Company reports that the Niagara, from Sydney and Auckland, arrived at Vancouver at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday. The vessel is scheduled to leave again on November 14 for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and Sydney, and is due at Auckland on December 3. RIMUTAKA AT GISBORNE.—The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Rimutaka arrived at Gisborne yesterday from Tokomaru Bay and leaves later for Napier and Wellington to complete her loading. She clears Wellington finally on November 24 for Southampton and London via Panama. THE CANADIAN TRANSPORTER.— Cabled advice has been received by the Canadian National Steamships that the Canadian Transporter left New York on Tuesday and arrived at Boston on Wednesday morning. She left Boston the same day for Montreal. The .vessel is en route from Auckland. f WAIPAHI REPORTS,—According to a message received by the local office or the Union Company, the Island fruit steamer Waipahi is expected to arrive at Auckland at 10 o’clock to-morrow morning from Suva. She is to leave here the same evening for Portland where cemen t for Wellington and Lyttelton. TAMAROA LEAVES HOME.-—Cable advice received states that the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tamaroa cleared Southampton on Friday for Wellington and Auckland. The vessel is bringing cargo from London and possengers and d? fr .° m Southampton. She is due at Wellington on December 13 and at Auckland a week later THE MARGARET W.—The fourmasted auxiliary schooner Margaret W. reached Waikato Heads from Port Stephens on Thursday evening. She is to sail for Motu River, Bay of Plenty, tomorrow to complete unloading poles. From Motu the vessel will- go to Lyttelton for survey, and also to load general cargo for Northern ports. NORFOLK FROM LONDON.—A radio message received by the local office of Z: ie + Zealand Shipping Comnany states that the Federal steamer, Norfolk, en route from London, is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at 6 o clock this afternoon from Suva. She will later berth at the Queen’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo before proceeding to Wellington to complete. PORT DARWIN ARRIVING.—To continue her loading under the agency of Heather, Roberton. Limited, the C. and D. Line s steamer Port Darwin is due at Auckland shortly before 1 j».m., to-day from New Plymouth and berths at the Queen’s Wharf. From this port the vessel proceeds to Gisborne thence Napier and Wellington to fill up and is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington on November 23 for London via Panama. HERTFORD’S MOVEMENTS. The Hertford arrived at Lvttelton on Friday from Wellington to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo and to load. The vessel will subsequently continue discharge and’ continue loading at Port.
