OLD SOLDIERS’ DUEL
WITH CAVALRY SWORDS “FAIR FIGHT” IN SYDNEY (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. Friday. What is believed to have been a duel with cavalry swords occurred at Darllnghurst this afternoon. As a result William Gibbs was treated in hospital for wounds in the hand. The police have arrested a man. who has been charged with inflicting injury. The parties are uncommunicative. They are said to be old soldier comrades. They had an argument and sword play followed. One man denies that there was a duel; the other says it was a fair fight.
