Actor Describes His Leading Ladies
After a year in pictures, Robert Armstrong passes judgment on the leading ladies with whom he has appeared. For each lie has a special adjective describing the quality that impressed him most. Here they are: Vera Reynolds, daintiness. Jacqueline Logan, amiability. Louise Brooks, sophistication. Dorothy Dwan, naturalness. Gwen Lee, chic. Lina Basquette, personality. Irene Rich, womanliness. Phyllis Haver, attractiveness. “Each girl is a type,” declares Armstrong. “Each picture called for a different girl. I like them all, and hope my picture career is always cast in such surroundings.”
