FOR CHURCH FUNDS
BENEFIT DANCE An enjoyable dance was held at the Tokanui crossroads hall on Wednesday evening'. The proceeds were in aid of the Kihikihi Catholic Church bazaar funds. Music was provided by Brown’s Hawaiian Orchestra, and extras by the Misses N. Quinlan and D. Smith, and Mr. W. M. Winter. Two novelty dancing competitions were won by Miss McLeod and partner (Monte Carlo), and Miss Christie and partner (spot waltz). Mr. H. Brill was an efficient M.C. Miss K. O’Connor contributed a vocal solo, and Mr. K. Brown rendered a selection on a steel guitar, while the orchestra grave several items.
