RIALTO, AND REGENT, EPSOM
‘THANKS FOR THE BUGGY RIDE” Laura La Plante, blonde, mischievous and delicious, will make the world i better place to live in for an hour ind a-half when “Thanks for the Buggy Ride,” one of the best little ove farces ever screened, will be shown at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres this evening. There is an old proverb which declares that it takes two to make a buggy ride. The other featured player is Glenn Tryon. “Thanks for the Buggy Ride” is just a delightfully humorous love story, written around the composing of the popular song of the same title. “Jazz Mad” is the “title of the second feature. It is the story of an old German musical composer who could not sell his operatic compositions and had to conduct a jazz band to keep the home going. Jean Hersholt has the leading role and Marion Nixon and George Lewis are also in the cast as the young lovers.
