REFORMER ASSAILS LOAN Press Association FEILDING, Thursday. Mr. J. G. Eliott, Reform candidate for Orou, addressed a crowded meeting and had a favourable hearing though there was some heckling. He condemned Sir. Joseph Ward’s borrowing proposals, which he characterised as a policy of “eat, drink, be merry, lnd let posterity pay.” The candidate opposed the Bible in Schools Bill. favoured a six-year licensing poll with three issues, and a loaded majority. He favoured giving the Maoris a vote on the licensing question. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried by a large majority.
