INQUEST ON CHILD’S DEATH Press Association WELLINGTON'. Thursday. \n inquest was beld at Lower Hutt this morning before Mr. J. H. Salmon, g M into the death of George Ernest Cotgina, aged five, who was killed on Sunday last by part of an ice chest falling upon him. Evidence showed that a heavy section of the ice chest, weighing nearly 3cwt had been lying against a wall. The’child was swinging on a small door, and a section of the ice chest overbalanced. A verdict was returned, in accordance with the evidence, that the boy died as a result of a fracture at the base of his skull through being accidentallv caught under part of an ice chest, no blame being attributable to anybody.
