SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION ORGANISED BY BOWLERS
rha New Lynn Bowling Club held 'lt annual bazaar in St. Thomas s Flail on Friday and Saturday last, the 1 unction being a huge success, as evidenced by a. splendid financial refhrn. The indefatigable secretary, Mr. v\ . Platt, had m.ade excellent arrangements for the smooth running of all sections, and was ably assisted bv his energetic committee. On Saturday evening the Glee Club under the baton ot Mr. M. Young, rendered two splendid items. The Auckland Gas Company’s cooking demonstration, carried out by Miss Brown, was a centre of much interest. Following is a list of the stallholders:—*
Jumble Stall: Mrs. W. Witham. Fish Pond: Mrs. Church. Produce Stall: Mesdames 11. J. R. Cutler and C. H Cox. and Miss Laurie. Lollie Stall: Mesdames Overington, May and Brpwn. Tea Rooms: Mesdames Laing, North and Cook. Cake Stall: Mesdames Siddall and Collard. Competition: Mesdames M. Young and Wilson. Hoopla: Mrs. R. Wells and Messrs. R. Wells. Thompson and C. 11. Cox. Chocolate Alley: Mr. N. Ma\heson. Skittles: Messrs. E. R. Edney, H. Oakley Brown, Overington and the Rev. W. P.. Rankin. Darts Competition: Mr. R. A. Jeffrey.
