FANCY DRESS BALL
VAUXHALL SCHOOL FUNDS j
A successful juvenile fancy dress ball in connection with the Vauxhall School was held in the Narrow Neck Hall on Saturday evening, when a large attendance of pupils and parents were present.
The varied fancy dresses of the ! juveniles presented a most charming : spectacle. The school orehestro pro- ' vided the music for dancing, and be- j tween the dances special items con- j sisting of action and part songs and ' character dances were given by the j pupils. The school improvement fund will j benefit considerably as a result of the j large attendance.
In the afternoon the annual cross- j country run for the Titchener Cup and 1 for medals presented by the school ; committee was run over a two-mile j course. Forty-six pupils competed. I The winner was Bruce Hay, who also j put up the fastest time. J. Jobson filled second place.
