T OCH MOIGH proved last week that the good opinions expressed of His ability in this column were well founded, and his two meritorious performances in the principal events on the card has added a lustre to his career. On the opening day he was just topped off by Kohara, after making all the running, and pulled up lame. On the concluding day the son of Nelson Derby was still sore, but despite this hardship W. Hughes’s tough customer went a great race and only succumbed in the last few strides to Gold Jacket. When Loch Moigh came in after the race his leg was giving further trouble, and in view of the fact his performance was all the more meritorious. Loch Moigh will now have a wellearned rest for a time.
