DEATH MERELY HASTENED
PATIENT FALLS FROM WINDOW (Special to THE SUN) CHRISTCHURCI-I, Thursday. Tho death of Joseph Sommer, farmer, of Fernside, was only hastened by a few days by his falling from a first floor window of the Public Hospital on to the street pavement on October 13. Evidence to this effect was given by Hr. Pearson at an inquest to-day. Deceased was suffering from a complaint which would have caused death within a few days. The fall only hastened his end, and was a contributory factor.
