PORT FREMANTLE TO COMPLETE.— To complete her loading for Home the C. and D. Line advises that the motorship Port Fremantle leaves New Plymouth to-morrow for Wellington and is to clear that port finally on Saturday next for London via Panama. CANADIAN EXPLORER SAILING.— The Canadian National Steamships steamer Canadian Explorer Avas to be dispatched from Auckland at two o’clock this afternoon for Sydney and Australian ports to complete the discharge of her Montreal cargo. CORINTHIC LEAVES COLON.— Cabled news has been reecived by the Shaw, Saviil and Albion Company that the Cormthic left Colon last Thursday for Southampton and London, en route from Wellington. She sailed from Wellington on September 26. RON A DUE SATURDAY.— According to a cablegram received by the Colonial Sugar Company, the steamer Kona sailed tiom Suva at live o’clock yesterday morning for Auckland, where she is due early on Saturday to discharge raw sugar at the works at Chelsea. MAHENO FROM SYDN EY.— Shortly after noon to-day the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Maheno arrived in the stream at Auckland from faydney. After pratique was granted the vessel was to berth at the Queen’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. She leaves here at 11 a.m. on Friday on her return trip to Sydney. MANUKA FOR MELBOURNE. —The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the passenger steamer Manuka is to resume her running in the New’ Zealand-Melbourne service, and leaves Wellington on Friday, October 26, for Melbourne direct. She leaves the Victorian port on November 1 for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. AN UNUSUAL CARGO, —The British steamer Scotscraig, which was formerly known as the Hambleton Range, left Ivilindini on October 1 for Melbourne and Sydney. This is probably the first time in the history of Australia that a cargo of soda, has been imported from the above port. Kilindini is a small port to the south of Mombasa, British East Africa, and so far vel-y few vessels have called there while en route to Australia. RUAHINE FOR AUCKLAND —Leaving Lyttelton to-morrow for Auckland, the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Ruahine is due here on Saturday to continue her loading for Home. She is to clear this port on November 3 for Wellington, thence Napier to fill up, and is now scheduled to sail finally from the latter port on November 10 for Southampton and London, via Panama. HERTFORD REPORTS.— A further radio message received by the local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the Federal steamer Hertford is expected to arrive at. Auckland at 6 p.m. to-morrow from Livei’pool. She is to berth at the Queue’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her » rgo before proceeding to Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and New Plymouth to complete. DEVON’S ALTERED I TIN ERARY.—A slight alteration has been made in the loading itinerary of the Federal steamer Devon. She now leaves Wellington to.-niororw for Auckland, where she is due on Friday to continue loading under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. She is to sail from here on October 31 for Napier, where she completes her loading for New York. Halifax. London, Avonmouth, Glasgow, and Liverpool. TANKERS CHANGE HANDS. —A fleet of tankers with the suffix “shell" have recently been transferred from the American flag to the Dutch flag. The vessels comprise the Pearl Shell. Gold Shell' and Silver Shell. Each vessel carries petroleum in bulk, and is fitted with oil fuel, and in future will fly the house flag of the Nederlandseh-Indische Tankstnomboot Mnatsehappij. The Hague. The Silver Shell visited Auckland last December.

MAKURA FOR SYDNEY.— In continuation of her voyage from San Eruncisco rind way ports, the local office of the Union Company has been advised that the R.M.S. Makura leaves Wellington at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Sydney. MAHANA CLEARED TEN ERIFFE. The Shaw. Savill and Albion steamer Alahana, which left Auckland for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe on September 11 is reported to have cleared Teneriffe last Friday THE ROTORUA. —The Xew Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua is scheduled to leave Southampton next Friday with passengers, mail and cargo for Xew Zealand. The cargo is for discharge at Auckland and Wellington. She is due at Auckland on December 1. PAKEHA AT MONTEVIDEO. —The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Pakeha, en route from Auckland to London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe, is reported to have reached Montevideo last Saturday. She was dispatched from Auckland on September 29. PORT BOWEN AT LONDON.— The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Bowen, which left Wanganui for London, Avonmoutli, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Luis Palmas, on September 8, is reported to have reached London last Saturday. THE CUMBERLAND. —The Federal Line steamer Cumberland left Glasgow for Liverpool last Saturday to complete loading general merchandise for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. She is scheduled to clear Liverpool next Saturday and to reach Auckland on December 4. 0.0. N. COMPANY’S STEAMERS.— The Oceanic and Oriental Navigation Company's steamer Golden Bear is scheduled to reach Auckland from Los Angeles on Friday. She has lumber, case oil and general cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, 'Wellington and Lyttelton. Also, with cargo from Pacific Coast ports, the Golden Cloud is scheduled to clear Los Angeles for Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin and Timaru on October 30. She is due at Auckland on November 25. Henderson and Macfarlane, Limited, are the local agents. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO SERVICE.— The Waitemata left Los Angeles on October 12. She is due at Napier on November 16, and proceeds to Lyttelton. Dunedin, Nelson and New Plymouth; thence to Suva and Vancouver. The Waihemo arrived at Vancouver on October 15, and will load at Powell River, Union Bay, and Ocean Falls, clearing the latter port about October 28 for San Francisco to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. She is expected to clear San Francisco on November 5. The Nordhval will load at Vancouver and San Francisco early in November for Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney. The Sussex left Wellington on October 17 for Vancouver and Los Angeles to load for Hobart, Beauty Point (Tasmania), Melbouime, Adelaide and Sydney. She is due at Vancouver on November 14, and is expected to clear Los Angeles early in December. The Wairuna left Auckland on October 9, and is due at Apia on Friday next, and will proceed thence to Fanning Island and Vancouver. The Waikawa arrived at Melbourne on Sunday, and proceeds thence to-morrow to Sydney, Suva and Vancouver. The Hauraki left Wellington on Saturday for Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, and proceeds thence to Vancouver direct. NIAGARA ARRIVES. —At 7.30 o'clock last evening the Union Company’s R.M.S. Niagara arrived in the stream at Auckland from Sydney, and later berthed at the Queen’s Wharf to land her passengers, mails and cargo. The vessel left the New South Wales port at 11.30 a.m. last Friday, and fair weather prevailed op the trip, except on Saturday night, when an exceptionally severe electric storm was experienced, accompanied by thunder and lightning and torrential rain.
