DEVONPORT RATEPAYERS Carnival held sway in the Devonport Navy League Hall on Saturday evening, when the Victoria Park and North Devonport ratepayers held a social and dance. During the evening. Mr. .T. Kilgour sang, and Miss Harding gave a recitation. Monte Carlo competitions were won by Mrs. Houghton and Mr. Rykers, and Miss Grimshaw and Mr. Jones. Mr. C. Farquharson was M.C. Among those present were: Mrs. Rykers, black net and lace overskirt. . ... Mrs. R. Harding, navy blue satin with cherry facings. Mrs. E. Dudgeon, lido blue georgette, inset with silver lace. Mrs. E. E. Crapp, black satin and red Spanish shawl. Mrs. Hall, flame crepe de chine and gold embroidered shawl. Mrs. P. N. King, red crepd de chine and black shawl. Mrs. Gordon, lacquer red and black crepe de chine. Mrs. A. Knowles, mauve shot taffeta and green shawl. Mrs. Hunt, delphinium blue with silver lace. Mrs. Houghton, blue crepe de chine with silver overdress. Mrs. Kitchingman, kingfisher blue crepe de chine and silver lace. Miss A. McFetridge, delphinium blue crepe de chine. Miss M. McFetridge, pale green crepe de chine with fur bands. Miss Kathleen Gardner, lotus pink taffeta and shawl to tone. Miss May Bowen, powder blue georgette. relieved with lace and black bow. Miss G. Smith, green satin and silver lace overdress. Miss L. Fletcher, mauve satin with silver relief. Miss C. Mariano, salmon pink crepe de chine. Miss J. Bond, leaf green silk crepe and pink posy. Miss C. King, flame silk crepe and black lace. j Miss A. Campbell, orange satin and 1 gold lace. Miss M. Lynch, sea green frock of crepe silk, relieved with blue taffeta. Miss Bruce, electric blue silk crepe frock. Miss Edna Tye, chartreuse green crepe de chine and lace overdress. Miss Linda Baldock, mauve and silver lace, with shawl to tone. Miss J. Grimshaw, blush pink taffeta and blue shawl. Miss V. Harding, black taffeta with deep hem of silver lace and Chinese shawl. Miss E. Andrews, powder blue satin and gold lace. Miss Marjorie Morgan, shell pink ring velvet with diamante. Miss O. King, dark blue crepe de chine and cream lace. Miss Marjorie Daniel, cornflower blue georgette frock. Miss S. Stephens, duchess blue crepe de chine. Mr. Bert Smith, president of the association, thanked those present and the committee for their hearty support. Supper was arranged by Mesdames Smith and Hunt, and the Misses Morgan and Smith. Music was supplied by the Kit Kat Band.
