“THE LAST WALTZ” A drama of life stripped of its pretence, stark and primitive, is “The Showdown,” to be shown this evening: at the Prince Edward Theatre. From the ends of the earth into the fever-infested, reeking, fetid Tampico oil swamps are drawn four men, rough and masterful, and one woman, gentle, lovely and fastidious. Hate grips the men for, mastery, thet fate of a lovely woman in the balance. And one man,' master of himself, sacrifices his love, his ambitions, that the woman might be happy. It is a vital drama of life in the raw. George Bancroft, starring in his first picture, is masterful, and is supported by Evelyn Brent and Neil Hamilton. Also in the cast are Fred Ivohler, Arnold Kent and George Kuwa.
