YOUTH REMANDED ON THEFT CHARGE Eric Crocker Bowden, aged 18, who appeared at the Police Court this morning on a charge of stealing a pair of trousers valued at 18s, was remanded until Monday. Chief-Detective Hammond said that Sowden was associated with Allan and Whyte, who were also to appear on Monday to answer 13 or 16 charges of theft from launches and yachts ’in the harbour. Bail was allowed for £2O, the youth to be in the care of the Salvation Army until the case should be heard.
