Mr. Edsel Ford May Visit N.Z.
Australian Director’s Mission
“I hope to be able to persuade Mr. Edsel Ford to visit Australia and New Zealand.”
Mr. H. C. French, director and general manager of the Ford Motor Company in Australia, has the above mission in view when he visits Canada. He is a through passenger on the Aorangi, which arrived from Sydney this morning, and is going on a business trip to the firm’s works in Canada. “Australia has had a bad time for the past 12 or 15 months,” said Mr. French, “but she is ' recovering now. Our new cars are taking well with the public, and we are sold up for months ahead.” Mr. French said that he would like Mr. Edsel Ford to visit- this side of the world, as he is now president of the Ford Company.
