ONE WITH A FUTURE
AUCKLANDERS have a warm spot in ,their hearts for “Ossie” Hooper’s fine pacer King Pointer, and well they might after the highclass displays the gelding gave at Alexandra Park during the Christmas Carnival. The son of Young Star Pointer and May Stanley has already stretched himself from the dawn of the improving class to the meridian of good handicap performers, and during the approaching season he may reach his zenith. Saddle style appeals to King Pointer as well as harness, and his admirers can look to him to win in the former section.
