Dolores del Rio in New Production

“ Revenge

ONLY CAST OF SEVEN One of the "biggest" and most extensive productions he has ever attempted—but with the smallest cast! That is what Edwin Carewe's “Revenge," starring Dolores Del Rio is, now in the making at the United Artists’ Studio in Hollywood. The cast, unusually small for any kind of a production, consists of just seven players including the star. But that isn’t all! Although hard to designate either as actors or actresses, there are 52 live bears drawing dally pay for their owners. They have an important part in the picture. There are 73 people who, although their faces will never be seen on the screen, are on che regular pay-roll. These are Carewe’s assistants, the technicians, property men, musicians, script clerks, hairdressers, film cutters and others. And then the extras! These will appear in the production, although extras, of course, are never considered part of the cast. Some of the episodes of “Revenge” will show as many as 1,000 of these.
