LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
ASSEMBLY AT TE PAPAPA A social afternoon given by members of the Te Papapa branch of the League of Mothers, was held recently at the residence of Mrs. E. Marks. Miss Foster presided over an assembly which included the following: Mesdames E. Marks, Sandford, Jameson, Clover, Bridge, Angus, Bentley, Appleton, W. Marks, Barfoot, Black, Dawson and Misses Rose Sandford and Foster.
Songs were sung by Mrs. W. Marks and Mrs. Appleton, a violin solo was played by Miss Rose Sandford, and Miss Foster read two of Masefield’s poems, all of which gave keen enjoyment.
