KARETU FROM MELBOURNE. —The Union Company advises that the Karetu, from Melbourne will leave Newcastle today and Sydney on. Monday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Wellington. CANOPUS SAILING.—Having completed the discharge of her coal cargo, the Westport Coal Company’s steamer Canopus is to be dispatched from Auckland at three o’clock this afternoon on her return trip to Westport. RIMUTAKA LEAVES PANAMA. — Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Rimutaka arrived at Panama on Tuesday from Napier, and sailed again on Wednesday for Southampton and London. The vessel left Napier on July 2. TOFUA REPORTED.—The Union Company’s Island steamer Tofua reached Apia at six o’clock on Thursday morning, and is to sail at one o’clock this afternoon for Fiji and Auckland. She is due at Suva on Tuesday and at Auckland the following Monday. SALTERSGATE LEAVES NAURU.— Advice has been received by Henderson and Macfarlane that the steamer Saltersgate left Nauru Island yesterday with a full cargo of phosphates for discharge at Auckland and Wanganui. She is expected to arrive here on August 8. NIAGARA FROM VANCOUVER. —The local office of the Union Company advises that the R.M.S. Niagara, which left Vancouver last Wednesday, via ports, for Auckland and Sydney, is expected to arrive here on August 13, and is now announced to sail from this port at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, for Sydney. MAUI POMARE DELAYED—Spedding, Limited, have been advised that the Government motor-ship Maui Pomare has been delayed at Norfolk Island and is now to leave there to-day for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday morning. It. is hoped to dispatch the vessel the same day at 3 p.m. for Niue Island and Apia, Soraoa.

AORANGI DUE MONDAY.—En route from Sydney, the Union Company’s R.M.M.S. Aorangi is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland at 6 o’clock on Monday morning. She will berth about 8 a.m. at the Prince’s Wharf to land her passengers and mails, and to load cargo. The vessel is scheduled to sail again at 11 a.m. on Tuesday for Suva, Honolulu, Victoria and Vancouver.

MAUNGANUI DUE WEDNESDAY.— The Union Company has received wireless advice that the Maunganui, from San Francisco, via Papeete, arrived at Rarotonga at 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday and left again at noon on Wednesday for Wellington. The vessel is now due at Wellington next Wednesday morning, and will leave again next day for Sydney.

RUNELLA WITH FUEL OlL—The British Imperial Oil Company’s tanker Runella arrived at Wellington at 7 o’clock on Thursday morning from Balik Papan, with a cargo of fuel oil for Wellington and Auckland. Captain G. E. "Williamson reported that during the first or three days of the voyage rough weather was encountered, but fine conditions subsequently prevailed until arrival. The vessel is to leave Wellington to-day for Auckland, where she is due on Monday.

Captain Williamson has the following officers: Chief, Mr. E. T. Vine; second, Mr. R. W. Cooke; third, Mr. A. E. Gannon; chief engineer, Mr. W. F. Putt; second, Mr. J. Barclay; third. Mr. A. Purves: fourth, Mr. S. Kitchin; fiftfc, Mr. E. J. Brown; radio operator, Mr. G. T. Greenap. The Runella carries a Chinese crew.

SCALARIA SAILS. After unloading: ! the remainder of her bulk oil cargo at. Western Wharf, the Anglo-Saxon Petro- ; leum Company’s tanker Scalaria sailed h last evening for San Pedro. MAHENO LEAVES SYDNEY. With passengers, mail and cargo for Auckland, the Union Company's intercolonial steamer Maheno left Sydney at midday yesterday. She is due on Tuesday, and tv ill berth at Central Wharf. RARANGA AT NEW YORK. Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company that the Raranga arrived at New York last Wednesday morning from Auckland, en route to London. The vessel left Auckland on June 22. PAKEHA DUE MONDAY. To Liverpool cargo under the agency of L. D. Nathan and Co., the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Pakeha is due at Auckland on Monday afternoon. From here the vessel proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete. KAIKORAI LEAVES SUVA. —The Kaikorai sailed from Suva for Auckland at nine o'clock yesterday morning in continuation of her voyage from Newcastle and Sydney. She has reported by wireless that she will arrive on Tuesday evening. After discharge the vessel pays off to undergo survey and overhaul at Auckland. CARGO FROM EAST CANADA. —The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company is in receipt of cabled advice that the Baron Incheape will load first at Sydney (Cape Breton) before completing at Montreal. She is to sail finally from Montreal on August 25 for Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. WAIHEMO REPORTS.— The Union Company’s trans-Pacific steamer Waihemo, en route from Los Angeles, has reported by wireless that she will reach Auckland on August 5. She has case oil and general cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Napier. Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. TEKOA TO LOAD. —The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the steamer Tekoa is expected to arrive at Auckland next Friday from Gisborne to complete her loading. It is hoped to dispatch the vessel finally the following clay for New York, Boston and London via Panama. ARAWA AT LYTTELTON. —The Shaw. Savill and Albion Company advises that the liner Arawa arrived at Lyttelton this morning from Timaru and leaves on Tuesday for Wellington, where she completes her loading and finally departs on August 4 for Southampton and London via Montevideo and Tenerifte. JAPANESE WARSHIPS. —The Japanese warships Idzumo and Yakumo, which are due at Auckland from Wellington on Tuesday, will berth at Queen’s Wharf. They will remain in port until next Saturday, when they are scheduled to sail for Suva. The Yakumo visited Auckland in February. 1924, in company with the Japanese warships Asama and Iwate. KINROSS DUE TO-DAY. —Wireless advice from the Sutherland Steamship Company’s steamer Kinross states that she will arrive from Port Arthur, Texas, at seven o’clock this evening. She has a full cargo of case oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth and Australian ports, Spedding, Ltd., are the local agents.

P ET R I CO LA DUE TO-MORROW.— Wireless advice from the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company’s tanker Petricola states she will arrive from San Francisco at noon to-morrow. The vessel has a full cargo of bulk oil for the Shell Company. She will berth at Western Wharf to unload a quantity of the cargo into the company’s tanks at Freeman’s Bay. The remainder is for Wellington. OMANA DUE WEDNESDAY. —Having been delayed by rain on the coast, the R. S. Lamb steamer Omana is not due back at Auckland now till "Wednesday next. The vessel will berth at Central Wharf to commence loading timber for Australia. She completes at Dargaville and Hokianga. RAN ELLA ON MONDAY.— To complete the discharge of a cargo of bulk oil from Balikpapan, Borneo, the AngloSaxon Petroleum Company’s tanker Ranella is expected to arrive at Auckland at noon on Monday next from Wellington. The vessel will berth at Western Wharf and discharge to the agency of the Shell Company of New Zealand, Limited. THE CANADIAN HIGHLANDER. —A departure from Wellington to-morrow evening will be the Canadian National Steamships steamer Canadian Highlander for Auckland to complete loading for America and Canada. The Canadian Highlander is due here on Tuesday evening, and the following day sails for Montreal, via New York and Boston. TARANAKI'S PROGRAMME. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the motor-ship Taranaki leaves New Plymouth to-day for Wellington, thence Napier, Gisborne and Auckland to complete her loading for Home. She is due here on August S and is scheduled to sail finally from this port on August 12 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow via Panama. A. S. Paterson and Co. will act as the local agents. CAMBRIDGE CLEARED PANAMA.— The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the Federal Line steamer Cambridge cleared Panama last Monday in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool to New Zealand. Ihe vessel has general merchandise from \\ est Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, Napier, Wellington and Port Chalmers. She is due at Auckland on August 15. The New Zealand Shipping Company are the local agents. NORTHUMBERLAND'S MOVEMENTS. —Due at New Plymouth to-morrow from Bluff, the Federal steamer Northumberland will complete her discharge of Liverpool cargo there and commence loading for her Homeward voyage. From the Taranaki port the vessel proceeds to Auckland thence Gisborne. Waikokopu, Napier, Lyttelton, Wanganui and Wellington to complete. TRANS-PACIFIC CARGO STEAMERS. —The Union Company advises the following movements of steamers engaged m the trans-Pacific cargo services:— The Waihemo left Los Angeles on July 12 for Auckland, Napier. "Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on August 5. The Wairuna will leave Ocean Falls on August 6 for San Francisco and Los Angeles to complete loading for Papeete, Auckland, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. She will clear Los Angeles on August 15. The Waiotapu left Suva on July 22 for Vancouver direct, and will complete loading at San Francisco and Los Angeles for Wellington Melbourne and Sydney. She will clear Los Angeles early in September. The Vaikawa left Lautoka on July 25 for Vancouver, and will sail thence to San Francisco and Los Angeles to load for Apia, Auckland, Nelson, Melbourne and Sydney. She will clear Los Angeles on September 8. The Hauraki will leave Suva on August 2 for Vancouver, and will load at Pacific Coast ports during August and September for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. The Waitemata will leave Newcastle on August 8 for Suva, and will go thence to Vancouver. The forward loading dates at the Pacific Coast are approximately as follow: The Waitemata will load at Vancouver and San Francisco during September for Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Nelson, New Plymouth and probably Bluff if there is sufficient inducement. She will clear San Francisco early in October. The Waihemo will load at Vancouver and San Francisco during October for New Zealand and Australian ports. The Wairuna will load at Vancouver and San Francisco during November for New Zealand and Australian ports. The Waikawa will load at Vancouver and San Francisco during December for New Zealand and Australian ports. The Hauraki will load at Vancouver and San Francisco during December for New Zealand and Australian ports.
