STOWAWAY CHARGED
REMANDED FOR TRIAL Having hidden on the s.s. Kaiwarra, where he was discovered an hour after the ship had left port, Thomas Henry Barry pleaded guilty at the Police Court yesterday to a charge of stowing away. Chief-Detective Hammond said that it had been necessary for the Kaiwarra to put back to port and to have a launch sent out to take Barry on shore. A remand was granted for one week.
