£1,000,000 SAVED FOR PRODUCERS
As a result of reductions in freight contracts brought about by the representations of the Meat Producers’ Board, the aggregate saving to the New Zealand producer over the past four years amounted to over £1,000,000, states the board’s annual report. Figures are shown as follows: 1922- contract £575,000 1923- contract 164,000 1924- contract 120,000 1927-30 contract (av.) 150,000 £1,009,000
