RUGBY CROWN IN BALANCE
To-Morrow’s Big Game
THE big attraction for Rugby enthusiasts to-morrow will be the meeting- of Varsity and Ponsonby at Eden Park. Both teams have secured seventeen points each on the championship table, and to-morrow’s clash will decide the premiership of the Auckland Rugby Union’s senior competition. Although Varsity defeated Ponsonby by 25 points to 8 earlier in the season, this should he no indication of tomorrow’s game. Both teams will be well on the job. and a hard and even game should result.
As a curtain-raiser to the big game Whangarei High School will play Mount Albert Grammar School, commencing at 1.30 p.m. This game also should produce fast, open football. The other two senior games will be between North Shore and Training College, on No. 2 ground, and Grafton and College Rifles on No. 3.
