Mr. R. H. Bartley, general manager of the Auckland Power Board, returned from Wellington to-day after attending a conference of power boards there. He was accompanied by Mr. N. M. Speer, secretary of the Auckland Board.

Mr. J. W. Hayden, chairman of the Waitemata Power Board, Mr. G. Trevithick, a member of the board, and Mr. A. Main, secretary, returned from Wellington this morning. They have been attending a conference of power boards.

Councillors E. Copsey and S. I. Crookes have each been granted leave of absence by the City Council. The former is recovering from an illness, and it is Cr.
