BORGESTAD AT LYTTELTON.—AII arrival at Lyttelton at 9 o’clock this morning was the Norwegian motor-ship Borgestad with a cargo of hardwood from Bunbury for the New Zealand Railway Department. The vessel will complete discharge at Wellington.

TARANAKI DELAYED.—Rain at New Plymouth has delayed cargo working operations of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.’s motor-ship Taranaki. The vessel will now leave New Plymouth this evening or on Saturday for Wellington for further loading.

SYDNEY STEAMERS. —The Ulimaroa sails from Wellington to-day for Sydney and the Maheno and Marama both leave the New South W'ales port for Auckland and Wellington respectively. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning.

KAIWARRA FOR NEWCASTLE.— The Union Company’s steamer Kaiwarra, which has been recommissioned, was undocked yesterday morning and berthed at Prince’s Wharf prior to her departure for Newcastle. She left port in the evening, and on arrival at her .destination will load coal for New Zealand.

MAUI POMARE POSTPONED. —Spedding, Limited, advises that the Government steamer Maui Pomare leaves Norfolk Island to-day for Auckland, where she is due on Monday next. The departure of the vessel from Auckland has been postponed until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, when she leaves here for Niue Island and Apia, Samoa.

KINROSS FROM TEXAS.—No radio has yet been received by Spedding, Ltd., from the steamer Kinross, which is en route from Port Arthur, Texas, with casvj oil for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth and Australian ports. She is due here either to-morrow or Sunday.

AORANGI LEAVES SYDN EY.—Cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi left Sydney at 4 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Monday morning. She is announced to sail from Auckland at 11 a.m. next Tuesday for Suva, Honolulu, Victoria and Vancouver.

MAUNGANUI DELAYED.—The local office of the Union Company has been advised that the R.M.S. Maunganui, from San Francisco and way ports, has been delayed and is now expected to arrive at Wellington next Wednesday morning. It is hoped to dispatch the liner the same day for Sydney in continuation of her voyage.

NIAGARA LEAVES VANCOUVER.— According to cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company, the R.M.S. Niagara left Vancouver at noon last Wednesday, via ports, for Auckland and Sydney. She is due here on August 13 and it is hoped to dispatch the vessel the same day for Sydney.

KAITOKE AND WAITOMO.—The local office of the Union Company advises that the steamer Kaitoke. which picked up the disabled steamer Waitomo at 10 o’clock on Wednesday evening, should arrive at Auckland next Tuesday. KAIKORAI FOR AUCKLAND.—En route from Sydney and Newcastle. the local office of the Union Company has been advised that the steamer Kaikorai leaves Suva this afternoon for Auckland, where she is due next Thursday. GOLDEN FOREST REPORTS.—Henderson and Macfarlane have been advised by radio that the American steamer Golden Forest (ex West Togus) is expected to arrive at Auckland next Monday afternoon from the Pacific Coast. The vessel is bringing general cargo for discharge at Auckland Wellington. Nelson. Timaru and Dunedin. THE CANADIAN HIGHLANDER.— The Canadian Highlander left Dunedin yesterday for Wellington, where she is due on Saturday morning to load for New York, Boston and Montreal. The vessel is to sail from Wellington on Sunday morning for Auckland, and is to clear the latter port finally next Wednesday.

REMUERA LEAVES PANAMA.— Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Companv that, their liner Remuera arrived at Panama on Saturday from London and Southampton. and sailed again on Mondav for A\ ellington, Lyttelton. Timaru and Port Chalmers. The vessel is due at "Wellington on August 12.

WAI RUN A AT VANCOUVER.—CabIed news has been received by the Union Company that the Wairuna, from Fanning Island, arrived at Vancouver at 7 p.m. on Monday. The vessel will load ** Powell River. Union Bay. and Oean halls, clearing the last-named port about August 6 for San Francisco direct, thence Los Angeles to complete loading for Papeete. Auckland. Napier. Lyttelton. Dunedin and New Plymouth. She is expected to clear Los Angeles about August 15.

CAMBRIDGE LEAVE.S PANAMA.— The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cablegram that the Federal steamer Cambridge arrived at Panama on Sunday from Liverpool, and sailed again on Monday for Auckland. Napier. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on August lo and at Wellington ten days later.

KARORI LEAVES WELLINGTON. — Renamed the Shanghai, the Union Conipanv's old cargo steamer Karori. which was' sold to Eastern buyers recently, left Wellington on Wednesday for Westport for bunkers. YARRAVILLE WITH OIL.—An expected arrival at Auckland on August 10 or 11 is the Vacuum Oil Company's new tanker Yarraville, with a cargo of bulk oil for discharge at Western Wharf. The vessel left Brisbane on June 23 for San Francisco, to load for New Zealand. CANOPUS SAILING. —The Westport Coal Company’s collier Canopus is expected to complete the discharge of her cargo of coal at Western Wharf this evening, and is scheduled to sail on her return trip to Westport at 11 o’clock this evening. PETRICOLA ON MONDAY.—With a cargo of bulk oil for discharge at Auckland and Wellington, the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company's tanker PetricoJa is due at this port on Monday next from San Francisco. The vessel has not yet reported to her local agents, the Shell Company of New Zealand, Ltd. MAILS BY THE AORANGI.—The thief postmaster advises that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi, which sailed from Sydney at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, for Vancouver, via Auckland, and is due here on Monday next, has 32t> bags of English, Eastern and Australian mail for this port.

SCALARIA TO SAIL.—The AngloSaxon Petroleum Company’s tanker Scalaria, which is at present discharging the remainder of a cargo of San Francisco bulk oil at Western Wharf, is expected to complete this afternoon and sail at 5 o’clock this evening for San Pedro.

COPTIC LEAVES LIVERPOOL. — Cabled news has been received by the Shaw. Savill and Albion Company that their new motor-ship Coptic sailed from Liverpool on Monday afternoon with general cargo to discharge at Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is due at Auckland on August 27, and A. S. Paterson and Company will be the local agents. SOUTH AFRICAN CARGO. —Advice from Sydney states that following the City ol Oram, South African cargo will be lifted for Australia by the EllermanBucknall steamers Borderer and City of Batavia. The Borderer is now at Wellington unloading New York cargo, and the City of Batavia is to leave New lork on Monday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.

ORIENT LINE STEAMERS.—The Union Company, agents for the Orient Line, advise the following movements of their steamers: The Orvieto, from Sydney, is due at London on August 2. The Ormonde, from Sydney, will leave Fremantle on July 3U, and is due at London on August 30. The Osterley, from London, is due at Sydney on August 2. The Orama teft London on July 21 and is due at Sydney on August 30. M A WATT A SOLD.—The well-known steamer Mawatta has again changed hands and is to replace the St. Antoine, which was recently wrecked on the New Caledonian coast. She is to load coal at Newcastle for Noumea for her new owners, the Societe de Tours des Cotes of Noumea. Built in Kiel in 1904, the vessel was formerly known as the Gerfania,. She was seized by the Australian Government during the war.
