ARCHER. —On Thursday, July 26, after a prolonged illness, Herbert Goodwyn Archer, Commander R.N. (retired); aged 7'J years. BARNETT. —On July 26, 1925, at Auckland Hospital, Alice Elizabeth, beloved •wife of Benjamin Barnett, Penrose; aged 64 years. EWEN. —On July 26, 1928, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. P. E. Skelton, Ellerslie, Alexander, dearly-loved husband of the late Ellen Ewen; in his 89th year. FORD.—On Tuesday, July 17, at his late residence, Otaiparea, Te Tumu, near Te Puke, George Pinckney Ford; aged 56 years. HOWARD.—On July 25, at Auckland Hospital, Tom Bennett, beloved husband cf Anne Howard, of Grey Lynn; in his 7Sth year. MERRICK.—On July 27, at her daughter’s residence, 80 Taylor Road, Mount Albert, Caroline Agnes, the loving wife of the late John Merrick, late of Coromandel; aged 71 years.—R.l.P.
