“Through Booking” by Rail No Worry for Passengers Bugbears of travelling from any station in the North Island to any station in the South Island (linking with the Wellington-Lyttelton ferry service) have been banished, by the Railway Department’s “Through Booking” system. One inclusive charge covers the train and steamer transport, and the Railway Department also arranges for berths. Passengers merely state their destinations and pay the charges, and the Railway Department does the rest. The helpfulness of this system to the public has been increased by the new service of night expresses in the South Island. Communicate with the nearest Stationmaster, Passenger Agent, or District Manager for full particulars.
