BIRTHDAY DANCE

A delightful evening was spent In the Dominion Road Bowling pavilion on Saturday when Mr. and Mrs. S. Hawken, of Mount Eden, entertained a number of young friends at a dance to celebrate the birthday of their daughter, Margaret. The hall was attractively decorated with streamers and multi-coloured balloons. Mrs. Hawken received her guests In a frock of black satin beaute relieved with gold lace. A black shawl completed her toilette. Miss Margaret Hawken wore a dainty frock of night green taffeta relieved with silver lace and diamante, and a white shawl.
