QUARRYMAN INJURED
BOULDER FRACTURES HIP When a fall of rock came down in the Harbour Board’s metal quarry at Rangitoto, a boulder struck the quarry floor and rebounded, hitting Edward W. Leach on the side, fracturing his hip. Leach is a quarryman aged 41, and lives at 30 Oliphant Street. Ponsonby. He was brought across the harbour in a Harbour Board launch and was taken to the Auckland Hospital. Fie is in a fairly serious condition.
