Trans-Tasman Flight Fixed for September
AIRMEN REST IN BUSH (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Received 10.15 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. THE Southern Cross, Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith's plane, will begin her Sydney to Perth non-stop flight on August 1 or 2. This will precede the Tasman flight, which is now fixed for September. The old propeller blades are being used for the Perth flight, which is 2,000 miles, and is expected to occupy 23 hours. Squadron-Leader Smith and Flight-Lieutenant Ulm have gone for a rest into the bush to a destination which is not known.
