SAMOAN “CATECHISM”
MR. HOLLAND’S QUESTION INQUIRY PROMISED (THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON. To-day. Characterising it as an extraordinary action. Mr. H. E. Holland yesterday referred to the issuing of a “catechism” on the League of Nations for the natives by the Administrator of Samoa last November. No doubt the Prime Minister would have read the questions in the catechism. He asked what action had been taken in the matter by the Government, as newspapers throughout the world had commented on the catechism. Mr. Coates: The Government has no knowledge of it. The newspapers do not correctly represent the Governor's I viewpoint. Mr. Holland: I can assure you that l the catechism was issued by the Ad--1 ministrator. Mr. Coates said he would have i quiries made.
