TRANS-TASMAN HOP MAY BE POSTPONED

KINGSFORD SMITH ILL (Special to THE SUN) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The flight of the Southern Cross to New Zealand may not take place at the time arranged, according to an announcement from a Sydney radio station heard by a Christchurch listener this afternoon. It was stated that Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith was ill, and had been taken to hospital. The nature of the illness was not given.
