KAIKOHE BURGLARY
TWO MEN TO BE SENTENCED GAOL FOR BORROWING HORSES (From Our Otcn Correspondent.) KAIKOHE, To-day. Following a burglary at Kaikohe recently two men were arrested, and to-day were brought before the court. At the Alagistrate’s Court this morning, before Alessrs. J. J. Bedgood and \V. J. Worthington. J.IVs. Percival Lewis and George Samuel Conaghan were committed to the Auckland Supreme Court for sentence for breaking, entering and stealing goods from Mr. Guerin’s shop on. July 9. On charges of converting two horses to their own use without authority they were sentenced to six weeks’ Imprisonment. Lewis, for stealing a riding saddle. I was sentenced to two months’ imprfai onment, to be cumulative with the i other sentence.
For having an unregistered firearm > in his possession and carrying it with- | out a licence, Lewis was convicted and i sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment, i to be concurrent with the other sentence. The pistol was ordered to | confiscated.
