OTAGO V. AUCKLAND The telegraphic chess match between Auckland and Otago was concluded on Monday evening. Play was slow at several of the boards, and only eight games were finished. The respective captains will negotiate in respect to the twelve unfinished games. Four out of the eight games finished were a draw, and of the remainder Auckland won three and lost one. The Auckland winners were J. F. Sullivan. G. Sale and C. Moller, and Dunlop was the only Otago man to win.
