WOUNDED BY PEA-RIFLE
ACCIDENT WHILE CLEANING WEAPON While Mr. W. Motion was cleaning a pea-rifle on the verandah of his house in Lansdowne Street, Bayswater, yesterday afternoon, he was wounded in the body by an accidental discharge. The rifle’s muzzle was so close to him that the flash burned his clothing. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital, where an operation was performed in th© evening. H© is now seriously ill.
