FOOTBALL AT HIKURANGI
Mr. H. Fearnley, secretary of the North Auckland Football Association, writes:
“In your issue dated June 26 last, you published an account of Mr. Hammill's visit to Hikurangi in connection with the formation of Rugby League in this town. It was said that it was understood a number of Soccer players had turned over to League. My association requests me to ask you if you would kindly give this an emphatic denial, as not one player to date has gone over to Rugby League, nor have any intimated their intention of doing so."
